By popular demand, I have added our six weeks of menus that we use in our family.

You can easily print them out by simply changing your printer to print landscape. Then print. It's that simple.

We use these six menus on a rotating basis. I shop for one month at a time, so I take the first four weeks and buy everything, except perishables, so I can prepare everything on the menu. The next month I would use weeks, 5,6,1,2 In that order. We only have things that we really like more than one or two times in the six week period.

One of the things I do to aid in meal prep is prepare all my meat in one day. I have huge stainless steel stock pots. I boil my ground beef in one. (Usually about 30 poounds), I also will boil about 5 chickens in another pot. I buy whatever is on sale. If I can get boneless skinless chicken breast for under $3.00 it is worth my time to buy that instead of a whole chicken that I must debone. I also brown 10 pounds of sausage, then whir it in my food processor to make fine pieces. These are great for homemade pizza. I also will put three roasts in my crockpot and cook those all day. You can chop the roasts into pieces, but I find it just as easy to let it simmer for hours and just pick it apart with a fork.

I freeze the meat into meal size portions for our family. Then, when I need to make chicken pot pie, all I have to do is take the precooked chicken out of the freezer, thaw it in the microwave, make a couple of crusts, add some frozen veggies and chopped cooked potatoes (I will often bake extra potatoes, chop them and use them the next day in something like this) and I have an easy dish.

Occasionally my DH will notice that I haven't made him something he really likes for quite awhile. I can easily incorporate that into one of our menus. Where the asterisks are, those are times for leftovers, or a special meal.

When it is a child's day, they plan the menu (before I go shopping) then they are in charge of the whole day.
